This article will show you step by step how to scan licenses from the mobile app, so you can carry out a smoother booking process or simply add a customer to your contacts.
Scanning a License for an Existing Reservation
First, open the HQ Rentals Mobile App, login and tap on a reservation. You can do so from the Daily Manifest. You can also head to “Reservations” and select a Reservation from the list.
Next, you will see the “Scan License” option. Tap on this button and then scan the license as shown below.
You will then see a preview of the information retrieved from the license. Finally, you can save or discard the changes on the reservation.
If you select “Save”, then this information will be automatically updated and reflected on Step 4 of the reservation.
Scanning a License when Adding a New Reservation
First, on your HQ Web Application head to the main Menu > Reservations > Add New > Complete steps 1, 2, and 3. Once you are on step 4, you can add a new customer by clicking on “create a new one”.
You will then see the new Customer Information form.
Second, once you have step 4 active on your screen, open you HQ Rentals Mobile App, navigate to the main Menu > Scan License. Then simply scan the license of your new customer.
Now, the information will appear on screen on your HQ Web Application.
