11.3 How to add terms and conditions to the Rental Agreement?

This article is a step by step breakdown on how to add terms and conditions to the rental agreement with and without the rental agreement builder.

Rental Agreement Builder

There are 2 methods that you can do to add terms and conditions to the rental agreement using the builder. This article is a step by step breakdown on how to add terms and conditions using those 2 methods. This article will also show where the changes will appear in the rental agreement.

Method #1

If you have a PDF of your terms and conditions, you can add terms and conditions by directly uploading it to the system. Doing so will attach additional pages to your rental agreement.

Firstly, navigate to Settings > Car Rental > Rental Agreement > Settings as highlighted in dark blue and orange in the picture below.

 

Next, scroll down to the Text Settings section. Here, under Attachments, click on the “Add File” button shown in the picture below highlighted in orange.

When you do this, it will add extra pages to the rental agreement as shown in the picture below.

 

Method #2

Firstly navigate to Settings > Car Rental > Rental Agreement as shown in the pictures below.

Here, you can add in an additional section or text box for your rental agreement. An example is shown in the picture below highlighted in orange.

Rental Agreement without Builder

There are 3 methods that you can do to add terms and conditions to the rental agreement without the rental agreement builder. This article is a step by step breakdown on how to add terms and conditions using those 3 methods. This article will also show where the changes will appear in the rental agreement.

Method #1

If you have a PDF of your terms and conditions, you can add terms and conditions by directly uploading it to the system. Doing so will attach additional pages to your rental agreement.

Firstly, navigate to Car Rental > Car Rental > Rental Agreement tab highlighted in dark blue an orange in the picture below.

After you have clicked on the Rental Agreement tab, scroll down to Brand Settings section. In this section, click on the “Add File” button in the Rental Agreements Attachments setting, highlighted in orange in the picture below.

 

Once you have finished uploading the file, click the blue “Save” button, highlighted in orange in the picture below.

 

 

For this example, we uploaded a WordPress plugin instruction PDF and it will be attached as additional pages. The picture below shows the end of the rental agreement and the start of the uploaded PDF.

Method #2

If you do not have lengthy terms and conditions, you can type the terms and conditions into the system. Doing so will appear on the bottom of your rental agreement.

Firstly, navigate to Car Rental > Car Rental > Rental Agreement tab highlighted in dark blue an orange in the picture below.

 

After you have clicked on the Rental Agreement tab, scroll down to Brand Settings section. Under the Terms & Conditions Text, type in the terms and condition, as shown in the picture below.

Once you have finish keying in your terms and conditions, click the blue “Save” button, highlighted in orange in the picture below.

 

 

This section is useful if you do not have long terms and conditions. It is placed into a box at the bottom left of the rental agreement as shown in the picture below.

 

Method#3

If you have long terms and conditions and do not have a PDF version, you can manually enter your terms and conditions into the system. Doing so will appear as additional pages on your rental agreement.

Firstly, navigate to Car Rental > Car Rental > Rental Agreement tab highlighted in dark blue an orange in the picture below.

 

After you have clicked on the Rental Agreement tab, scroll down to Brand Settings section. Key it under Terms and Conditions to be Attached to the Rental Agreement as shown in the picture below.

Once you have finish keying in your terms and conditions, click the blue “Save” button, highlighted in orange in the picture below.

 

 

The terms and conditions will now attach as additional pages as shown in the picture below.

 

We have also made it so that you can manage your multiple company brands’ terms and conditions from this page. You will notice several tabs that consist of your different company brand names highlighted in orange in the picture below. Changing the tab will affect which company brand the terms and conditions are for.
