This article is a step by step breakdown on how to enable contact business rules. When you enable this setting, you can set different rules that your regular customers can get such as automated discounts or special pricing for the vehicle classes. Firstly, navigate to Settings > Car Rental as shown in the picture below highlighted in dark blue.
Next, select “Yes” under “Enable Contact Business Rules” as shown in the picture below highlighted in orange.
Lastly, click on the blue “Save” button located at the bottom of the page.
Now when you navigate to your customer’s profile, you will notice an extra tab called “Car Rental” as shown in the picture below highlighted in orange.
In this tab is where you can set the different rules for this particular customer. There are 4 sections in this tab. They are Taxes, Additional Charges, Distance Limit, and Payment Rules.
This is where you can set up a different tax rate and label for this customer and apply automatic discounts as well.
This is where you can set up the different prices for the different additional charges that you have created in the system. To learn more about additional charges, click here.
This is where you can set up the different distance limits for this particular customer. The two types here are the global distance and per vehicle class. To learn more about distance limit, click here.
This is where you can set up the different payment rules such as allowing rentals with outstanding balance or contract closing with an outstanding balance.
