4.9 Vehicle Classes

This Vehicle Classes page lets you manage your vehicle classes. This setting is important to take note because your classification of rates depends on the vehicle classes you add in the system. Vehicle classes are what is displayed in Step 2 (Cars) of the reservation process. Examples of vehicle classes are Economy, Luxury, Honda 1.5, Honda 1.8, and so on. The classes and the rates will be displayed accordingly on your website once integrate or any other websites your system has integrated with.

To elaborate more on Vehicle Class, here are some of the ways to split your vehicles into the different classes.

  1. Cars with the same rates are usually added into the same class, however, for example, if one of the cars is an SUV and the other is a luxury car, you would split them into different vehicle classes.
  2. Cars with the same rates but different prices for additional charges. For example, if the insurance coverage for a Honda is more expensive than the insurance coverage for a Toyota, you would split them into different vehicle classes.
  3. In the case, you have a small fleet and all of them are different vehicles, you should create a Vehicle Class, with each vehicle model, for example, Ford Fiesta 1.8, or Toyota Camry Coupe, this will allow you to display them individually in step 2 of the reservation process.a

The vehicles you have in your system are linked to one of these vehicle classes which in turn, are linked to a company branch. Therefore, if you have multiple branches, you would have to create the different vehicle classes per branch even if they are the exact same. Each vehicle class can only have one rate.
